How about tea as a chaser for drinks at home?
Recently, I’ve been drinking at home quite a bit, and friends often come over. When that happens, I like to prepare various teas to serve as chasers alongside alcohol, allowing everyone to drink as they please. Cold brew makes it easy to prepare several types of tea, and it adds a nice touch of hospitality, so I quite enjoy it.
It seems that when there are various types of tea available, everyone is curious and enjoys trying them all to find their favorite, or pairing them with different snacks in a relaxed manner. I’m happy that tea chasers have become a regular part of my home drinking routine.
It’s often said that drinking an equal amount of water to the alcohol can help prevent a hangover, but this can be quite challenging. However, with tea, the flavors and aromas make it surprisingly enjoyable to drink. Even if I think I might have overindulged, I feel that the next day’s condition is not as bad, thanks to drinking lots of tea. While some might think that the caffeine in tea could be dehydrating, I believe it’s still better than drinking alcohol without any fluids.
Tea chasers are not only delicious but also gentle on the body, so I highly recommend them. (Just remember to keep the tea a bit lighter, since it’s not the main focus!)
