This phrase originated during the early days of teplo, when we were prototyping the teplo teapot in Boston. Initially used as a joke, it has now become a representation of our company’s structure and culture.<\/p>

In this article, we will explore the background of how this phrase came about. When shipping hardware, it is necessary to list the country of manufacture. While it is not mandatory to specify where the product is designed, the phrase \u201cDesigned By Apple In California Assembled In China\u201d found on Apple products is quite famous.<\/p>

During our prototyping phase, we discussed what regional name to include following \u00ab\u00a0Designed by LOAD&ROAD\u00a0\u00bb if we were to use a similar phrase as Apple. Should it be Boston, Tokyo, Japan, Pune (our development base in India), or India?
Here\u2019s the article <\/a>As introduced in the article, since teplo is developed in various locations around the world, it was difficult to choose a single region or country to list, and no specific term seemed quite right. So, as a joke, it was decided to use \u00ab\u00a0on Earth\u00a0\u00bb to indicate development across the globe, and thus, the prototype was marked with this term.

When we added \u00ab\u00a0on Earth,\u00a0\u00bb it felt the most fitting.<\/p>

It also carries a subtle irony towards the giant company Apple, which can be considered a bit of a playful dig from our venture company. In other words, it\u2019s a touch of what some might call \u201cteenage angst.\u201d<\/p>

Since then, the phrase \u201cDesigned by LOAD&ROAD on Earth\u201d has been used with a sense of playfulness in our products. You might find this phrase on the packaging or in hidden parts of the product itself. If you spot it, let us know!<\/p>
