Are you familiar with the Japanese Tea Instructor certification? The Japanese Tea Instructor is, in a sense, a specialist qualification in Japanese tea. Contrary to what the name might suggest, it is quite challenging to obtain and is considered a rather rigorous certification.<\/p>

The Japanese Tea Instructor Association describes the Japanese Tea Instructor certification as follows:<\/p>

The Japanese Tea Instructor Examination is a certification recognized by the NPO Japan Tea Instructor Association. It is for individuals with a high level of interest and knowledge in Japanese tea, demonstrating the expertise and skills necessary to guide consumers and beginner instructors (Japanese Tea Advisors) as an intermediate-level instructor.<\/p>Official website of the Japan Tea Instructor Association<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>

The academic part of the Japan Tea Instructor exam covers a really broad range of content, which can be quite challenging for examinees. However, I think one of the strengths of this qualification is that it provides a well-rounded and comprehensive knowledge base. Without an exam as a goal or if studying independently, it would likely be difficult to acquire such balanced knowledge. For me, I might not have learned about the history or benefits of tea properly if it weren\u2019t for this qualification. Learning about less interesting areas can deepen your understanding of the areas you are interested in, which was actually quite enjoyable.<\/p>

Although it’s a significant investment of both time and money, if you’re determined to tackle it, the benefits you gain can be quite substantial.<\/p>
